First Hungarian edition of one of the best-known classics of world children's literature. It was translated by Miklós Zigány. The following year further Hungarian editions appeared in Cologne and Buenos Aires, translated by Mrs Pál Vámos. The Móra Publishing House later commissioned György Rónay to prepare a new translation, which has remained the standard Hungarian version ever since.
