With the author's presentation inscription on the half title, dated 1956. The recipient, Diósszilágyi, was a distinguished physician, director of the hospital at Makó, an important patron of the town's cultural life, and the author of several works on theatre theory. A facsimile edition of the work was published in 1982. This binding variant is not recorded in the bibliography.
Gilt, original leather. Upper edge gilt. The front board, framed with a single gilt fillet, is decorated at the centre with an oval gilt stamp reproducing the Dance of Death motif from the title page.
