Founded by Attila József with Pál Ignotus and Ferenc Fejtő, the journal pursued a socialist-bourgeois radical line, as a counterbalance to the too-liberal Nyugat. After József’s death, Zoltán Gáspár, Bertalan Hatvany, and Zsigmond Remenyik joined the editorial team. The attached work is cited in bibliographies as a continuation of the journal (along with the Szép Szó Almanach of 1945).
