In 1968, the writer spent two months in London at the invitation of Pál Tábori. The recipient of the dedication, Ninon Neményi, emigrated to England in 1956, where she received a scholarship in Cambridge. Between 1963 and 1965, she was the head of the Hungarian Department at the University of California in the USA, and then returned to the United Kingdom. She received her doctorate in Cambridge in 1967.
