The decision in a litigation case. György Apponyi sued Kempelen and Sámuel Klobusiczky at the city court of Pozsony in the case of a mill. The defendants built a mill on the outskirts of Pozsony, which caused problems with the water supply in the area. Apponyi demanded compensation for the damage caused to him. Since it was Kempelen's idea to build the mill dams and ditches, he had to reimburse for the restoration costs. According to the court's rule, the defendants are equally liable for compensation, and - with minor modifications - the royal board approved it. The file contains all of these and also lists the plaintiff's attachments to the lawsuit, such as cost statements, the expert opinion of the engineers, the opinion of the governor's council, the request of the Pozsony fishermen and Apponyi's statements. One can also find a list of the defendants' annexes (cost statements, statements by Kempelen Farkas, and witness statements).
