56. Count Albert Apponyi (1846-1933), politician. Autograph letter.

The recipient, Dr. Béla Kelemen, shares his thoughts on the manuscript sent to him by the former minister of interior of the Szeged counter-government. This work was published the following year under the title “Data on the History of the Szeged Counter-Revolution and the Szeged Government.” He notes: “I read with great spiritual sadness that Hungarian people were fighting there too – I don’t even know why; I also got a clear picture of the behaviour of foreign factors...”
