52. Horányi, (Elek) Alexius: De Sacra Corona Hungariae...
... ac de regibus eadem redimitis commentarius
Pestini, 1790. Typis Trattnerianis. V+(1)+378p.
Following the imperial decree of Leopold II on 28 January 1790, the Holy Crown was returned to Hungary. The heightened interest is shown by the fact that several works were written about it, including one by the Piarist scholar. Horányi was the first to establish that the crown consists of two parts and also published the text of the Byzantine inscription.
