The twelve leaves following the table of contents contain the "Military Articles of the Supreme House of Austria". The author, of German origin, was a colonel in the Pálffy Infantry Regiment. His work, written in German, was translated into Hungarian by Captain Sámuel Dobay Székely (a renowned art collector of his time). According to almost all sources, he served as an infantry officer, but based on his memoirs, he was the captain of Count József Esterházy's hussar regiment.
