518. Count Sándor Teleki (1821–1892), former colonel.
Autograph letter to sculptor Adolf Huszár addressed as „Kedves barátom!” (My dear friend!).
As one of the busiest sculptors of his time, the addressee received numerous state commissions (perhaps his most famous work is the Petőfi statue that still stands today in Március 15 Square in the capital). Teleki thanks him for the statue he sent, which depicts a drunken bandit. He jokingly remarks that they will throw a party in Pest, where the recipient can model the drunken magnate.
