The Hungarian-born Pauline monk named Gergely took his name from the Coelius Hill in Rome, where he lived in a monastery. His collection of biblical commentaries was first published in Venice in 1547, during his lifetime. This is the second edition. For a long time, the author was mistakenly identified as Gyöngyösi Gergely.
Contemporary blindstamped leather over wooden boards, remains of clasps preserved.
