The Reformed Catechism is the last part of a series of four publications that are related to each other in terms of content. All were published in the same place in the same year. Mikolai Hegedüs wanted to serve and encourage the implementation of the decisions of the 1646 Synod of Szatmárnémeti on the establishment of native language schools by publishing them. The original translation is unknown.
