The author took part in the Russian-Turkish war of 1829 as a Turkish officer. He later returned home and was Kossuth's secretary during the Hungarian War of Independence. In this work, in addition to his wartime experiences, he presents the areas and cities he visited (St. Petersburg, Moscow, Bucharest), as well as the daily life and customs of the local people.
Contemporary half-cloth. Spine restored.
