Autograph letter to Sándor Mednyánszky, addressed as „Kedves Barátom!” (My dear friend).

He complains that an injury prevents him from using his left arm, while rheumatism torments his right. He assures his correspondent that he is working for the Hungarian cause: “Believe me, as long as I have one breath in me, it shall be consecrated to the affairs of the homeland – I work even now – and I hope, if my compatriots will it, that soon we may say once more: ‘Talpra magyar...’” He also touches on a business matter, assuring Mednyánszky that once he returns home he will speak with Garibaldi. If there is money, he may rely on the commission.
