318. (Bod Péter): Az Isten vitézkedő anyaszentegyháza állapotjának...

... és világ kezdetétöl fogva a jelen való idöig sokféle változásinak rövid historiája...
Basileában, 1777. Im-Hof Rodolf János. 538+(9)p.+4 folding map(s).
Second edition, first published in 1760. The author probably completed his universal church history in Hungarian in 1753. Its significance in the history of culture has been almost forgotten, even though Bod was the first to propose, with reference to foreign examples, the establishment of a society of scholars for the development of our national language and the cultivation of science. It is also an important work from a cartographic point of view, as its maps were the first to show the continents of Europe, Asia, Africa, and America in Hungarian. Complete copies are scarce.
Contemporary leather. Spine worn. Wormholes on the last leaves.
