With the auograph letter of the author (mounted on the first flyleaf):
„Az utolso 4 bokharai emir történetét tárgyaló kéziratból, melyet Szamarkandban vettem, a papir a khinai selyempapir jo utánzása, készült Endiganban (Khokandban). Koritniczán. 27dik Jul. 1865. Tek. Jeszenszky Danó Urnak”.
Vámbéry also mentions the Persian manuscript in the work, and he had torn a page out of it, on which he may had written these lines. The addressee was a lawyer from Losonc, and a member of Parliament in 1847-48. After the Hungarian War of Independence, he was under official supervision, and in the anthology "Losonczi phönix", he wrote the story of the Russians' destruction of his hometown.
