Dugonics was less concerned with fiction and turned more towards Hungarian history. In his works on this subject, by presenting the glorious past, he wanted to prove the greatness of the Hungarian nation, primarily to educate the youth to self-awareness. Along with "Szittyai történetek" and "Arany pereczek", this work also belongs to this category. The work contains the history of the provinces and principalities belonging to the Kingdom of Hungary (such as Transylvania, Ráma, Bulgaria, Havasalföld, and Lodomeria). Their coats of arms are depicted on the plates. One of the author's rarest works.
