The translator was one of the most renowned Hungarian physicians of his time. He dealt with epidemiology, worked at the St. Roch Hospital, and through his friendship with András Fáy became the doctor of prominent families. He also ran a private asylum. This work is extremely rare – we have not traced any auction appearances.
Signed, blue leather, with yellow spine and blue title. The front cover with a leather inlay depicting a grey heron hunting in reeds, the back cover with a frog hiding from it. In hardpaper case.
