The fourth edition of the first Hungarian Catholic hymnal. It was first published in Lőcse in 1651. It was edited by the Jesuit Benedek Szőlősy and supported by Benedek Kisdy, Bishop of Eger. It was republished in Kassa in 1674, followed by a revised and expanded version in Nagyszombat in 1675, with the support of György Szelepcsényi, Archbishop of Esztergom. The latter remained popular in the 18th century and was reprinted three times (in 1703, 1738, and 1792).
