The so-called Basel Bible first appeared one year earlier (the title page of the New Testament in this copy also bears that date), and was issued again in 1764.

Richly gilt, contemporary leather in leather case. Inner edges gilt and tooled. The upper cover bears the monogram “F. J.” and the date 1752. According to an inscription on the front pastedown, the binding was made for Ferenc Jantsó of Nagyenyed. Although the gilt decoration is slightly worn, the volume is a beautiful copy preserved in a perfectly fitting leather case.
