In the summer of 1788, Kazinczy decided to publish Zrínyi's poetic works (it is interesting to note that, influenced by the growing cult of Zrínyi at that time, Gábor Döbrentei and Csokonai independently set themselves the same goal at almost the same time as Kazinczy). Finally, after several decades of work, the first collected edition of the poet's works saw the light of day.
