196. Csécse nevü Helysegnek Urbarioma

N.p., c.1775. n.p. (28)p.

In 1767, Maria Theresa's urbarium decree was promulgated in six counties of Transdanubia, which uniformly regulated the burdens of Hungarian serfs on their landlords. It first came into force in the counties of Vas, Zala, Somogy, Sopron, Tolna and Baranya, but in the following years, the committees sent out introduced the new regulations in all counties of Hungary. According to handwritten minutes and entries confirmed with an official seal, this took place in 1774-1775 in the village of Csécse in Szatmár. Ten leaves were attached to the form containing the "punctom" of the decree and the completed manorial tables, some of which contained additional minutes, while others remained blank. The village is now called Tiszacsécse and is best known as the birthplace of Zsigmond Móricz in 1879.
