Bonfini dedicated the second work to the most beloved Hungarian king, Mátyás Hunyadi. Contemporary sources mention that the Italian humanist who came to Hungary brought the manuscript of the work as a gift to him, which was apparently included in the Bibliotheca Corviniana. First edition.
