The author, of Lorraine origin, worked at the Polish embassy in Istanbul in the mid-seventeenth century. One of the results of his activity there was this comparative Turkish grammar, first published in 1680 and here issued in its second edition under the editorship of the Hungarian scholar Ádám Ferenc Kollár.
Later half cloth. Title page and last leaf slightly damaged, some leaves restored.
Poss.: According to the Latin inscription on the final page, Antal Sándor of Szlavnica presented the volume in 1790 to an acquaintance named János, whose surname has been erased.
