The work of the Venetian historian Giovanni Sagredo (Memorie istoriche de monarchi Ottomani) first appeared in 1673. The first French edition was published in 1724. The first six volumes here are from the Amsterdam edition, while the seventh belongs to the Paris edition. Apart from the title pages, the two editions are identical; it is likely that the French publisher assigned the publication rights to the Dutch one.
Contemporary leather. Spine richly gilt, slightly worn.
