174. Benedek Virág (1754–1830), poet, Pauline friar. 

Autograph manuscript of his translation "18. Zsoltár." (Psalm 18).
The author’s psalm translations were published in his collection Második magyar lant (Second Hungarian Lyre) in 1825 in Buda. This piece, lacking date and signature, shows several corrections and ink stains, with a missing lower corner (not affecting the text), making it rather worn. It is possible that Virág saved it from the Tabán fire of 1810, when almost all of his belongings were destroyed.
