Delicately coloured copperplate map of Hungary. Engraved by Abraham Goos based on Gerard Mercator’s representation. The Hungarian coat of arms and the castles of Bratislava, Buda, Komárom, and Győr can be seen above the map field, with four figures of representatives of different social classes dressed in contemporary attires on both sides. The plate was published in the second edition of John Speed’s imposing atlas, „Prospect of the Most Famous Parts of the World”, in 1631.
