The Jena-born author's catechism for Lutheran children was first published in Torgau in 1594. We have no information about its earlier appearance in Hungary; it was also published in Brassó in the same year. Our piece is the only known complete copy, while a fragment is kept in Lőcse. Only one copy exists in Hungarian public collections (MTA).
