The author explains the need to restrict and strictly regulate the brewing of pálinka (traditional Hungarian fruit spirit). He describes in detail the severe moral and health damage caused by drinking it, especially among ordinary people. In his opinion, economic benefits would also result from his suggestions. Perhaps the most exciting part of the work is the description of the situation at that time. Széchenyi is mistakenly named as its author in several places. However, in the 42nd issue of the 3rd volume of the periodical "Religio és nevelés", the name of the author is mentioned: Baron Miklós Vécsey.
