Second Hungarian edition of a textbook for elementary schools in the empire. It was first published two years earlier. The author was the economic chamberlain to Prince Liechtenstein of Austria, and the translator, Sámuel Szilágyi Jr. was a judge in the counties of Szatmár and Bihar who produced an impressive body of work as a translator and, as a committed supporter of Hungarian literature, was also associated with Kazinczy and Csokonai.
Contemporary leather. Spine richly gilt. Some leaves slightly stained.
