121. Immanuel Löw (1854–1944), rabbi.
Autograph manuscript of the memorial speech “Elhúnytaink és vértanúink” (“Our Dead and Martyrs”), delivered on the seventh of Adar 5683.
In his extensive speech, the learned rabbi commemorates prominent recently deceased Jewish figures at home and abroad. Among them are Samuel Hirsch Margulies of Italy, Max Nordau of Pest, industrialist Manfréd Weiss, and German foreign minister Walther Rathenau. Since Rathenau had been assassinated, his eulogy is the most elaborate.
