A bird’s-eye, woodcut view of Venice and the surrounding minor islands, which appeared in Francios de Belleforest’s work “La cosmographie universelle de tout le monde” (more details about this can be found at lot 105). The representation is surrounded by a richly decorated frame – used only in this edition –, within which the names of the buildings and islands marked with letters are located below the image field. With explanatory text in French on the back.
