Perhaps the author’s most famous work, and one of the major novels of world literature, signed by Ernest Hemingway on the title page.
Numerous variants of the first edition are known. In the earliest impression, the verso of the title page bears the letter “A” beneath the copyright statement together with the publisher’s device. The present copy is a later impression with the letter “W” on the copyright page. According to the dust jacket, it belongs to the “Book of the Month Club” variant.
