(photograph of the author) With the following dedication on the title page: „Réz Pálnak igaz szeretettel, hálával Pilinszky János” (To Pál Réz, with true affection and gratitude, János Pilinszky). The work was published after a long period of silence. The recipient of the dedication supported the publication of the volume, concluding his editorial report with the following words: "If we had to name the ten best living poets, he would certainly be among them. We are righting a great injustice by publishing his poems in this volume." The text of the dedication may also refer to this.
