On the first page, one of the translators wrote: "Ádám Ottónak hálával és szeretettel küldi Ottlik Géza Budapest, 1965. aug. 16" (To Ottó Ádám with gratitude and love, Géza Ottlik, Budapest, 16 August 1965). The dedication was addressed to the theatre director of the Madách Theatre. Shaw's play Man and Superman was premiered here in 1963, which appears in the volume as Ember és felsőbbrendű ember (Man and Superior Man), but was staged under the title Tanner John házassága (The Marriage of Tanner John).
