A bird’s-eye, woodcut view of Antwerp, which appeared in Francios de Belleforest’s work „La cosmographie universelle de tout le monde” (more details about this can be found at lot 105). The left side of the map-like representation is dominated by merchant ships sailing on the River Schelde. At the top left is the Flemish lion, at the right is the coat of arms of Antwerp, and in the middle is the coat of arms of the Spanish Netherlands. With explanatory text in French on the back.
