It is the first and the most significant piece of the epistolary genre in Hungary, which was fashionable throughout Europe in the 18th century, and one of the milestones of Hungarian literary history. As the manuscript disappeared for a long time, it was finally published with a foreword of István Kultsár and with the title given by him (the author originally entitled it "Constantinapolyban Groff P... E... irot leveli M... K...").
