102. Karinthy Frigyes: Hasműtét. Novellák.

Bp., (1933.) Athenaeum. 185+(2)p. First edition.

The inscription of the author on the first page reads: "Tótiséknek hálával, szeretettel 932 okt Karinthy Frig(yes)" (To the Tótis family, with gratitude and love, 932 Oct. Frig(yes) Karinthy). The bookbinder cut off the end of the name. The dedication was addressed to Béla Totis and his wife. Totis was a Marxist doctor and one of the pioneers of the legalisation of abortion. He became truly famous for his internal debate with Attila József on the relationship between Marxism and morality.
