The Kner bibliography dates the publication to 1917, presumably because the separately printed, two-leaf explanatory notice—apparently intended to accompany the volume and autograph signed by Izidor Kner—is lacking. According to this notice, the author issued the obscene, at times deliberately coarse booklet only for a small circle of close acquaintances: “I have set and printed a few copies with my own hands at the express command of the late master of humour, Uncle Csicseri Bors, proceeding from the assumption that there must be fifty people in Hungary capable of appreciating such a work of wit.” The work published by the author in 1919 under the same title cannot be regarded as a second edition of this book, as its mildly risqué text is entirely different.
