64. Mór Jókai (1825–1904), writer.

... Autograph letter addressed to László Écsy, opening “Kedves Barátom” (Dear Friend).
From 1836 onwards, the recipient served for more than half a century as director of the spa at Balatonfüred. He was also an enthusiastic supporter of the town’s development: a member of the Balaton Steamship Company, participant in the founding of the local theatre, and contributor to the construction of the church and charitable home.
According to the letter, Jókai entrusted Écsy with the management of his affairs in Füred during his absence, and writes to him concerning these matters.
