On the order of Queen Maria Theresa, the Council of Lieutenancy mandated a census of the Gypsies in Hungary. This anonymous poem depicts the measure as the end of their free way of life. The online catalogueue of the National Széchényi Library lists four editions under this title, but only one bears a date (1769). Thus, this copy is the earliest known. Mentioned by Petrik. Author unknown.
