On the two leaves preceding the engraved frontispiece of the first volume, a contemporary owner copied Baron Lőrinc Orczy’s laudatory letter addressed to the translator, published in the Bécsi Magyar Hírmondó in 1788. The copy derives special significance from the stamp of the grammar school of Nagykőrös on the first title page, since János Arany taught there between 1851 and 1858. It is therefore entirely possible that he also used this very copy.
