One of the foundational works of Hungarian scientific terminology. Bugát, physician and language reformer, played a decisive role in creating and popularising Hungarian medical and scientific vocabulary. This dictionary-like compilation gathers Hungarian technical terms from various branches of the natural sciences and supplements them with etymological explanations and principles of word formation. Numerous expressions introduced or popularised by Bugát became permanent elements of scientific Hungarian.
