Posonban, 1643. (typ. Societatis Jesu.) (2)+XXXVI+430+(2)p. 12 leaves (401-404p.+last ten pages) replaced by copies.
János Draskovich, chief magistrate of Árva, Croatian ban, and later palatine, translated the version of the breviary reformed by Pope Pius V from Latin into Hungarian and published it without his name. One of the most beautifully typographed, two-colour printed 17th-century Hungarian books, it is adorned with 24 woodcuts between the texts, and each page is surrounded by a woodcut frame composed of 4-4 figurative decorative elements. To our knowledge, it has never been auctioned before.
Blindstamped, modern leather with clasps. According to the inscription on the binding board, our copy was bound and restored in 1963 by Dezső Sasvári, one of the most renowned bookbinders and restorers (the copied pages reflect the technique of the period).
