132. (Habsburg) Franz Joseph I (1830-1916)...
... Emperor of Austria and King of Hungary. Autograph signed Ennobling document of György Sacelláry in Hungarian.
György Sacelláry is elevated to nobility in recognition of his services to the capital's representative body and is granted the prefix "Székasi". It appears that the letter containing the family coat of arms was completed, but was cut out of the document.
3 written pages on vellum, separated from each other by tissue paper. The title page is beautifully painted and adorned with coats of arms in a gilded frame. The wax seal hanging from the cord was perfectly protected by the metal case. The document was signed by the king and Baron Béla Orczy, the king's personal minister. Original leather housed in a silk-lined, leather-covered box with three clasps (light wear to the box).
Dated: Vienna, 10 October 1884.
